Children of the Night

Here’s a few of my Children of the Night sketches. They are a playful bunch, full of nighttime mischief.

Children of the Night

Night is mineThe character in the back ground is Humpy Joe. He “pops” up in my illustrations from time to time. Pun, intended and in bad taste… naturally.

The Dull Ages

Life is quite meaningless. The only purpose to life is survive and breed better than everyone else. Everyone, this is including all other species from all five Kingdoms. I don’t mean that we should just die or be mean to each other. It is my view that life doesn’t need purpose to live, I live just because I am. This being said here’s a little number I tossed up for ya! It really captures the essence of a very close friend of mine!

Feel free to leave any comment, I’m not really here for a dogmatic, philosophical or lets compare scars forum. This being said, I am here for high fives and hate messages directed in my general vicinity.

Late night distractions

Here is a lovely illustration of an ammonoid, crinoid, rugose corral, archimedes and brain corral. This is my quick depiction of a cretaceous marine environment (the ammonoid’s sutures are characteristic of the cretaceous). But wait! Archimedes and rugose died out by the Permian, this sketch is as misleading as Jurassic Park! Well at least it’s invertebrates (sorry to all my vertebrate peeps).

Personal fun fact: one day a hope to find a crinoid calyx!

Shout out to all my math peeps

Math is really hard but at the same time it is so amazing. You can describe the world and the universe using math and the more you use it the more you understand about all our surroundings. This sketch is just a little thank you to the supposed man who discovered irrational numbers. Some accounts state that Hippasus (a pythagorian) discovered irrational numbers and was punished for divulging this information to the people. His punishment was to drown himself, some accounts say that the sentence was directed by the gods and some say that the pythagorians’ minds were so blown that they threw Hippasus over the ship that they were in. Needless to say, life has always been pretty rough for hustlers and mathematicians!

Fun Fact: My favorite shape is the triangle. You can do so much and describe so much using a triangle! Not to mention that the unit circle is just meaningless without understanding triangles. I also use the pythagorian theorem and trigonometric functions when I sew and draw symmetric pictures! Gee, math sure is great!
